I was
born in Michigan and began painting at a
very early age. Mostly self taught, I
learned to experiment with many different
colors and textures of paint.
From my
childhood days in Sarasota, the beaches,
marine life, and tropical flowers had a
lasting influence on my work. As a
teenager, I started to experiment with paint
to achieve a thick, 3-D effect on canvas. I am
best known for my paintings of flowers, beach grass,
and free flowing lines. I also paint and mount
U.S. flags on canvas, which have been
displayed in galleries throughout the
country.
I
graduated from Western Michigan University
in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After college, I
married the love of my life, Judy and we
have been together for 33 years with 2 grown
children.
I want
to personally thank you for taking the time
