This is a 25 year old US Flag that has been flown over the US Capital, Michigan's Capital, Indiana's Capital, and California's Capital. It is formed, stretched and painted with 9 thick coats of acrylic paint.
The piece took 263 hours to complete. I finished it on September 11, 2009, in honor of our country's worst tragedy. On the back of the frame, it is signed and dated. It weighs 45 lbs. The Freedom Flag is mounted to give it a 3-D effect.
